Yellow Roses, Pastel Green Eustoma and Purple Limonium

Yellow Roses, Pastel Green Eustoma and Purple Limonium

The learning points of the floral gift created today was making the paper ribbon in the front and also the blanket of wrapping paper surrounding the floral gift. Making the blanket was really easy – basically you place the oasis in the middle of the wrapping paper and then apply the rubber bands at the bottom of the oasis, catching the wrapping paper in the process. It’s definitely a quick and easy way to package the floral gift but I thought it was too distracting and made the gift looked massive (not in a good way).

Without wrapping paper (ah much better)

For the paper ribbon, take a stalk from the rose, sticky tape it behind the paper ribbon and then simply insert it into the oasis. The ribbon is much closer to the flowers using this method rather than tying the ribbon around the oasis.

Yellow Rose Arrangement
I like how the bear grass is placed at random directions/places which gives it a more natural look and an added dimension.

At first I made the arrangement perfectly round which didn’t look too natural. To correct that, I pushed in the purple limonium and it made the yellow roses and green eustoma pop!

Lovely contrasting colours

Lovely contrasting colours – the pastel colours worked really well together and the purple was a good contrast to the yellow and green
