Crossing Curves – Ping Pong Chrysanthemum, Eustoma and Limonium
Head over heels in love with the floral arrangement I did this week! (: I think it’s the ultra cute ping pong chrysanthemums… they are just so cute! I love the round ball of yellow… makes me so happy looking at it. I also notice that yellow and purple are my instructor’s favourite combination it has come up quite a few times now. I might actually replace the purple limonium with something white or maybe orange or light blue?
Today’s focus is on creating long criss-crossing lines using the pandanus leaves. One key learning point is to ensure that there are more than 3 intersections that could be clearly seen by the audience. To make the floral arrangement more vibrant and energetic, I added longer eustoma buds and limonium so that they could protrude from the outline of the floral arrangement (sort of sticking out at different places) to avoid making the shape too perfectly round and unnatural.
